Cebu City, Philippines – August 29, 2023 – Passerelles Numériques Philippines proudly announced the successful culmination of their recent art exhibit, “WATAWAT: Elemento ng Pilipino,” which showcased the creative prowess of fifteen (15) talented students through captivating artworks. The exhibit took place from August 25-27, 2023, at The Atrium in Parkmall.
The art exhibit served as a celebration of Filipino identity and culture, aligning perfectly with the spirit of the Buwan ng Wika. Each artwork on display was a testament to the scholars’ dedication and artistic growth, fueled by their participation in an intensive Adobe Photoshop Training program conducted by Datawords. This training equipped them with essential digital design skills, allowing them to bring their creative visions to life.
“We are thrilled to present the remarkable results of our scholars’ hard work and commitment in embracing their Filipino heritage,” said Luchi Flores, Country Representative of Passerelles Numériques Philippines. “Through ‘WATAWAT: Elemento ng Pilipino,’ we aimed to showcase the power of art and technology in conveying cultural significance. Our partnership with Datawords and Parkmall has truly elevated the impact of this exhibit.”, she added.
Passerelles Numériques Philippines would like to express its sincere gratitude to Parkmall for generously providing the venue for the three-day exhibit. This collaborative effort enabled the exhibit to reach a broader audience, fostering a deeper appreciation for Filipino art and culture. In addition to Parkmall’s support, Datawords played a pivotal role by providing the scholars with comprehensive training in Adobe Photoshop, empowering them to channel their creativity effectively.
“We are honored to contribute to the growth and development of these scholars through our training program,” stated Thomas de La Loge, Managing Director of Datawords. “Witnessing their artistic interpretations of the Buwan ng Wika theme is a testament to their dedication and the transformative power of education.”
The “WATAWAT: Elemento ng Pilipino – An Art Exhibit” not only highlighted the artistic talents of the scholars but also showcased the synergy of collaboration between Passerelles Numériques Philippines, Datawords, and Parkmall. This event served as a reminder of the profound impact on how these collective efforts can foster cultural appreciation, education, and creativity.
